Embodiment Coaching
★ for thoughtful leaders who want to lead with heart and need to find ease among constant pressure and competing demands.
☆ for achievement-driven Asians who are tired of meeting others’ expectations and want to start defining success on their own terms.

Hi, I’m Yan Li, embodiment coach and founder of Moving Stillness School of Embodiment.
I help people seeking sustainable changes in how they show up at work and in relationships, so they can live a freer life and share their gifts more fully.
People who enjoy working with me tend to be those who find themselves straddling different cultures — for example, first- and second-generation Asian Americans or immigrants from family-/community-oriented cultures in general, women who work in predominantly male occupations or spaces, professionals with working class parents — folks who do a lot of cultural code-switching (you know who you are!).
I am a certified somatic coach with an academic background in sociology and social psychology. I practice and teach Tai Chi, and study classical Chinese medicine and Buddha dharma. I am an immigrant from China and have lived in the United States longer than on the land of my ancestors. These strands of heritages are weaved into my coaching practice and are the wellspring of growth for my clients and myself.
What Clients Are Saying
Mentor Coach Endorsement
Yan brings a depth of presence to the work she does. All the layers that she is are present in her coaching. She holds a warm spaciousness that is very generative for her clients. What also makes Yan a powerful coach to work with is how committed she is to her own growth and her own healing – she does what she’s going to invite other people to do and goes deep inside the work, which requires a lot of integrity and courage.
